Fundraising Opportunities

The mission of the Royal High Band Boosters is to support the Band Director and the Instrumental Music Students, by providing volunteers and raising funds for the program needs. Our goal is to lend financial & physical assistance for the entire instrumental music program. Listed below are the various fundraisers. Many of our fundraisers offer students the chance to earn money for their individual student accounts. These are indicated by a (*).

  • *Scrip email - Chair:Dana Michaelson, Lynn Miyata
    • Scrip is the number one way to help fund your student's account by spending money you probably would spend anyway! There are two ways to take advantage of this program:

      By far the easiest and most profitable for the band to register your grocery store club cards. Everytime you use your card as part of your weekly grocery purchases, the band receives a small percentage. Don't forget that you can also register your family and friends as well. This is a great no-hassle way to raise lots of money for the band! To register, simply send your Vons, Ralphs and/or Albertsons card number along with your name, address and telephone number to Dana Michaelsen at the e-mail link above.

      Additionally, you can order scrip gift cards to specific vendors each month with this order form (scrip order form here). Keep this in mind for Birthdays or Holidays! If you plan in advance you can have your gift cards by the 2nd Tuesday of the month. For any additional scrip gift card questions, please e-mail Dana and she will answer your questions.

  • *Carwashes - Chair: Open email
    • *Next car wash is not yet scheduled. $5 tickets are pre-sold for this event with the entire $5 going to the students account.
    • Students sign up for shifts, typically lasting 3-3 ½ hours
    • Adult help always needed to supervise the students
  • Restaurants
      Restaurant night Chair: Open
    • Requires a flyer to receive credit

    • Percent of total bill is donated to the Royal Band Department
  • *Royal Classic - Chairperson: Randy Harano email
    • 24th Annual Royal Classic Marching Band Tournament held on the RHS campus. Our biggest fundraising event of the school year - money goes to support ALL classes.
    • An all-day event, to be held on October 20, 2008; parent volunteers essential; all band students involved
    • Advertising & Trophy Donations - ALL BAND STUDENTS are required to sell at least two ads or trophy donations for the souvenir program. It is a great way to earn money for individual student accounts. Information will be sent home the beginning of September.
