Membership is by audition. Orchestral Winds is a yearlong class, open to
all students who qualify. This group also participates in concerts and music festivals during the
spring semester. This class is designed to prepare for concerts and festivals and serves as a
training group for those interested in becoming a member of the Wind Symphony or Wind Ensemble.
Dress Requirements:
Ladies – Long black dress to the ankle/floor or black pants suit: black dress shoes - no sandals.
Gentlemen - A black suit and black tie or tuxedo with black cummerbund & black bow tie: white
tux shirt or plain white dress shirt: black shoes, black socks.

Black Instrumental Folder (order from Band Department)
Black 3 ring binder 1-1½" with plastic sheet protectors
Pencils
Metronome
Tuner
Personal Instrument needs – mouth piece, reeds, sticks, mallets, oil, cleaning supplies etc.
